What this site collects

Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no login, no comment section, no contact form, and no advertising on this site. I don't set tracking cookies and I don't run third-party analytics that profile you across the web.

The site is served as static files, which means your browser requests pages and receives them. It does not send me anything about you beyond what any web request necessarily involves.

What my host sees

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and requested URL, in order to serve the page and protect against abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy rather than mine, and I don't use that data to build a profile of you.

Fonts

The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads. If that matters to you, a browser extension that blocks third-party font requests will stop it, and the site will fall back to system fonts without breaking.

If you email me

If you write to founder@future-port.org, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. I use that to reply to you and, if we're discussing a role or a project, to keep track of the conversation.

I don't add you to a mailing list, I don't sell or share your details with anyone, and I don't use your message for anything you didn't send it for. If you want your emails deleted, ask and I'll delete them.

Your rights

South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act gives you the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. If you're in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you broadly equivalent rights. Either way, email me and I will action it. Since the only personal information I'm likely to hold is your correspondence, this is usually a short conversation.

How the site is secured

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted in transit. Because it is a fully static build with no database, no user accounts, and no server-side application logic, the attack surface is deliberately small. There is no stored user data on this site to breach.

Source code and content are version controlled in a private repository, and deployments are built automatically from that repository rather than uploaded by hand.

FuturePort is separate

This policy covers this website only. FuturePort and Concentration Check are separate products with their own privacy terms, since they handle portfolio data and this site does not. Refer to future-port.org for those.

Reporting a vulnerability

If you find a security issue with this site, email founder@future-port.org with the details and I'll respond. Please give me a reasonable window to fix it before disclosing it publicly. I'll credit you if you'd like the credit.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
